Patient Population: Adults aged 18-65 with anxiety, depression, manic disorders, borderline personality disorder, suicidal ideation
Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 6 patients
Unit Beds: 14 (Average Daily Census ~7)
Call Requirements: No call
Float Requirements: May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
EHR System: MediTech

Required Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Behavioral Health Nursing
Prior Travel Experience: Required (candidates without prior travel experience will be rejected)
Education: ADN or BSN required
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
Licensure: Registered Nurse License (Iowa)

Must have Iowa SING Background Check cleared (including criminal and child abuse portions) – no exceptions
All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start – no instant or statewide searches accepted
Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
Drug test: 10-panel screening including opiates
Immunization titers within last 12 months: MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB
Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday

Facility provides a wide range of services including emergency medicine, critical care, medical/surgical, acute rehabilitation, obstetrics, pediatrics, and specialty services.
The Behavioral Health Unit focuses on adult patients with serious mental health conditions.
Dress code and attire requirements apply (specific details provided during onboarding).

This position is ideal for experienced Behavioral Health RNs with prior travel experience seeking a night shift travel assignment in Iowa.
