Travel RN – Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
Location: Oakland, CA
Pay: $2,859/week
Shift: Day | 5x8s (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Start Date: 01/27/2026
Contract Length: 22 weeks
Position Overview
UCSF Health is seeking an experienced Travel RN for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology to join our outpatient clinic. This role provides specialized care for pediatric hematology and oncology patients, including infusion therapy, port management, patient/family education, and care coordination. Ideal candidates have prior Hem/Onc experience in a pediatric setting and are licensed in California.
Schedule & Unit Details
- Day shift, 5x8 schedule (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Patient ratio: 1:4–5
- Outpatient clinic environment, supporting pediatric Hem/Onc and BMT patients
- Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, PT, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years pediatric RN experience with at least 1 year in Hem/Onc clinic
- California RN license in hand
- Certifications: BLS, PALS, APHON, Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) preferred
- Proficiency in IV therapy, infusion pump management, central/PICC line care, and port management
- Experience with care coordination, telephone triage, and patient/family education
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Experience in outpatient pediatric oncology infusion centers
