Position Overview

Job Description

• Provide patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Requirements

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of RN experience required (higher value used: 5 years).
• Certifications: Must have current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Licensure: Texas RN license or multi-state compact RN license required.
• Clinical Skills:

  • Ventilator and tracheostomy experience required.
  • Knowledge of central lines required.
  • Wound care and LTAC experience preferred.
