Description

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, clinically skilled, and comfortable caring for oncology patients within a fast-paced Med/Surg environment.

Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Specialty: MS Oncology/ratio of 4-5 patients to 1 RN.

Shift: 3x12's/36 hours a week/Nights 7p-7a
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience

Certs: American Heart ACLS and BLS, PALS and NIHHS are required.

Will accept locals- Rate is $70.00 an hour

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to adult oncology and med/surg patients
Administer chemotherapy (if applicable) and manage central lines
Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Educate patients and families on treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Adhere to facility policies, safety guidelines, and infection prevention standards

Qualifications

Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience (Oncology experience preferred)
BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
Chemo certification is a plus
Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
