Unit Name: Postpartum
Shift Details: 7p-7a
Float Requirements: Yes first to float to LDR

Brief unit Description (2-3 sentences max): Postpartum area provides mother-baby couplet care. Staff are responsible for delivering comprehensive postpartum care, including maternal assessments, newborn evaluations, breastfeeding support, and education to assist families with postpartum discharge planning and care.
Unit Size/Beds: The postpartum unit consists of two areas: Pod A, which includes 11 rooms, and Wesson 2, which has 20 rooms. Wesson 2 also offers surge capacity for up to 18 additional beds, as its rooms are designed to accommodate double occupancy.
Expected Ratios: 3-4 mother baby couplet care
Cases seen (If applicable): Postpartum vaginal and cesarean delivered patients
Years of Exp required: 1
Advanced Certifications required: NRP, BLS
Any additional details that may help the agency with recruitment and onboarding/compliance: The postpartum team floats within OB service and will support LDR. This position would be expected to be the first to float to LDR.
