Description
Job Title: RN – Telemetry Float Pool (Contract)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Dates: 02/02 or 02/16
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend required

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry Float Pool provides safe, high-quality patient care across multiple telemetry and medical-surgical units. The RN is responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering cardiac medications, and delivering evidence-based care to patients with acute and progressive conditions. Floating is required based on unit needs and clinical competency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage cardiac drips
- Administer medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitroglycerin
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Document patient status and interventions accurately
- Float to assigned units based on skills and operational needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Required Experience
- Minimum experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing
- Proven competency with:
- Amiodarone
- Cardizem
- Heparin
- Nitroglycerin
Preferred Experience
- Progressive Care / Step-Down Unit experience
- ICU experience preferred
- Experience with vasoactive drips such as:
- Levophed
- Nicardipine
- Dopamine
- Milrinone
- Neosynephrine
- Dobutamine
Licensure & Certifications
- Active RN License
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
Additional Requirements
- Floating required (first to float based on skills)
- Holiday shifts may be required
- No on-call requirement
- Nicotine-free facility
