Position / Specialty: MedSurg Registered Nurse
Shift: 4x12s, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Patient Ratios:

Standard ratio 1:6
May flex to 1:7 in the event of unplanned staffing shortages

Weekend Requirement:

Every other weekend

On-Call Requirement:

Yes, PRN for low census

Floating Requirement:

Yes, traveler must float within scope to meet facility needs
May float between like units or sister facilities

Required / Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

Preferred: 2 years of MedSurg experience
First-time travelers accepted

Licensure:

Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license
License must be in hand prior to start

Certifications:

Required: BLS
Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS

EMR:

Epic experience required

Required Skills:

Med/Surg nursing
MS/Telemetry
Telemetry monitoring
Insulin administration
Rapid Response participation

Preferred Experience:

Previous charge nurse experience
Comfortable managing patient ratios of 1:6–7
