Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit at Akron Campus. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and be comfortable floating as required. This role requires recent Epic experience and a solid background in Med/Surg nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult Med/Surg and Telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
• Float to other appropriate units as needed
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent Med/Surg experience
• Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS and NIH certifications (preferred/required per compliance)
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Ability to float to assigned units
• Must wear solid black scrubs

Scheduling & RTO Requirements

• Maximum 7 days of RTO allowed (must be submitted at time of submission)
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Block scheduling requests will NOT be accepted
• Candidates requesting block schedules or exceeding RTO limits will be automatically rejected
