- Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) - 3 shifts per week
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Demonstrating critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
- Planning for safe delivery of care and maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegating patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
- Providing direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Patient Care Areas
- Antepartum triage
- Active labor
- Postpartum care (mother and baby)
- Special care nursery for babies
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Vaccination: Must have COVID vaccines or an approved medical or religious exemption per state of New Mexico

- 1:1 to 1:4
