Level I Trauma and large hospital experience is required. The Resource Float Pool is a diversely skilled team that floats throughout our 2 campuses, BUMC-Tucson (Level I Trauma 625 beds) and BUMC-South (Level IV Trauma 245 beds), to provide support where necessary. BUMC-Tucson Campus has the following Adult Health units with patients that range from Observation (2 units), Med Surg (4 units), to PCU and IMC (total 11 units). PCU travelers may be floated to any of these units during their contract. Occasionally, they may be floated to the ED or the PACU to take Adult Health patients with inpatient orders waiting on a bed on a unit. BUMC-South Campus is approximately a 10-minute drive from BUMC-Tucson. It has 4 Adult Health units (1 OBS, 2 PCU, and 1 MS) which they may float ;
