Description

Position Overview

Adventist Health Bakersfield is seeking an experienced Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, coordinated patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ER RN will deliver care using the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and exercise sound clinical judgment while supporting patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to ER patients following established standards and protocols
Assess patient conditions, identify nursing diagnoses, and develop and implement individualized care plans
Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
Provide patient and family education and support
Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
Delegate appropriately and supervise support staff
Maintain a safe, healing, and compassionate care environment

Required Qualifications

Active RN license in the state of practice – Required
BLS (CPR) – Required
ACLS – Required
PALS – Required
Acute care experience – Preferred
BSN – Preferred

Additional Requirements

Floating and on-call may be required based on unit needs
Must meet all Adventist Health vaccination requirements (medical and religious exemptions may apply)

Aaky J was very responsive, respectful and considerate, he responds quickly and he returns texts asap, I’ve even gotten random texts just asking how I was doing. I’ve never worked with Lancesoft before but Aaky has made it comfortable.

Cons

Maybe the only thing which truly isn’t a problem is the dialect, but we got through that as well.
