Description
Position Overview
Adventist Health Bakersfield is seeking an experienced Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, coordinated patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ER RN will deliver care using the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and exercise sound clinical judgment while supporting patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to ER patients following established standards and protocols
- Assess patient conditions, identify nursing diagnoses, and develop and implement individualized care plans
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Provide patient and family education and support
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately and supervise support staff
- Maintain a safe, healing, and compassionate care environment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of practice – Required
- BLS (CPR) – Required
- ACLS – Required
- PALS – Required
- Acute care experience – Preferred
- BSN – Preferred
Additional Requirements
- Floating and on-call may be required based on unit needs
- Must meet all Adventist Health vaccination requirements (medical and religious exemptions may apply)
