RN – Med Surg / Float Pool (Travel | Nights)

MS Float Pool with PCU float. Same clinical requirements as the travel role.

Note: This is a 4-week assignment and is extended based on performance and facility needs. The hospital often prefers travelers who are open to renewing every 4 weeks for ongoing coverage.

Requirements:

• Active California RN License
• BLS Certification (required)
• NIHSS Certification (required)
• ACLS Certification (preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience in an acute care hospital
• Recent PCU experience required
• Must be willing and able to float to PCU

Responsibilities:

• Perform admission assessments and ongoing patient reassessments
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care
• Administer medications following the 7 Rights of Medication Administration
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and interventions
• Communicate patient status changes promptly to providers and care team members
• Utilize SBAR communication for all handoffs
• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning
• Follow infection control policies, patient safety standards, and hospital protocols
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge needs
