CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)
Location: Danville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility & Unit Overview
- 250-bed Academic Community Hospital
- Region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
- Comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour ED, home health & hospice, advanced wound healing, cardiac rehab, 2 cath labs, one day surgery center, medical and radiation oncology
- Radiology Department located on 2nd floor
- Patient population: Mostly adults and geriatric; seldom pediatrics
- Equipment: GE VCT 64 slice; GE Brightspeed 16 slice
- EHR system: Meditech
- Census usually around 100-110 patients

- Shift: 1st shift
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
- Weekend Hours: Variable (fill in when someone is off)

Requirements
- Specialty: CT
- Required Certifications: ARRT, CPR, BLS
- Years of Experience: 2+ years (highest requirement noted)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
- Must Have Skills/Experience: CT tasks, critical thinking
- Preferred Skillset: CT experience
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments Encountered: Pulmonary embolism (PE), stroke, kidney stones, appendicitis, chest pain, abdominal pain, motor vehicle accident (MVA) trauma
- Personality Fit: Team player, positive attitude
Additional Information
- Orientation is bi-weekly on Tuesdays
- Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; no jeans or leggings allowed
- Local candidates must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
