    Education
  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing

Description

12hrs 7pm- 7am 

 

***Will be required to float to ALL PCU/Tele Units within Inova Alexandria Hospital (IAH). Floating to other units to care will be within or below scope***

 

BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS required

 

1-2 years experience as long as proficient with neuro assessments and basic cardiac drips Must have cardizem, amio, and heparin drip experience

 

Must have EPIC experience

 

Must have prior travel experience

 

Must be able to read/interpret strips and pass ECG exam

 

Drips: Required to titrate drips

 

Floating: Will float between PCU, Overflow, Medical, and Surgical floors to meet the needs of the hospital- can work a different unit every shift.

 

Common Diagnosis/Types of Patients: Stroke r/o, chest pain, arrhythmias, Abd pain, post-surgical, altered mental status, dehydration, AKI, CHF, GI hemorrhage, numbness, fever, sepsis, resp failure

 

Shifts & Scheduling: Expect travelers to be flexible to work where needed. There is opportunity for over time

 

Weekend requirement: Minimum of 4 weekends shifts in a 6-week period

 

Scrubs: Navy
