EPIC CHARTING PROFICIENCY IS REQUIRED
Unit5 South hematology oncology - ONC cert NOT required but would love candidates with experience/ Manager will teach clinician how to administer CHEMO - can be a great learning opportunity- # Beds: 32- Nurse:Patient Ratios: typical ratio for all medsurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times, ratio would be adjusted down for higher acuity patients- Required certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS): BLS, charge RN's have ACLS- Common diagnoses/Types of patientshem/onc, chemo- Experience or 'Must have' skills: level 1 trauma experience required. experience at a larger facility with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients, must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes, hem/onc and chemo experience preferred- Are RNs required to titrate drips: heparin, could have an order for amio and that can be started and then patient would be transferred to cardiac unit- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: cardiac drips on 3south only - Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit Are RNs required to read their own strips What brand are the tele monitors: every unit has tele capability, patients are monitored on all units, central monitor station will communicate with RN, 3south tele unit also has central monitors at nurses station and every patient is on tele - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor:
