Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Alamosa, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: CT Tech / X-ray Tech Combo Role
• Start Date: ASAP
• Daily Caseload: 35-50 cases per tech
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
• Call: Required, including holidays
• Weekend: Not regular schedule but potential for call
• Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs; may float to nearby sister facility (15 minutes away)
• Locals Accepted: Yes, no local radius rule
• Pending License: Not accepted; state license required upfront
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week (varies slightly by rule)

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty, including at least 6 months in Computerized Tomography (CT)
• Certifications: CT certification (ARRT required)
• X-Ray Experience: Required
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT Certification: Required
• BLS: Required (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS, PALS, STABLE: May be required depending on unit (refer to facility specifics)
• State License: Must be valid and verified prior to start

Additional Requirements

• Background Check: Must be completed within 90 days of start and updated annually
• Health Requirements:

  • COVID-19 vaccine required, no exemptions
  • Flu shot required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), no declinations accepted
  • Negative TB test (T-Spot or QuantiFERON Gold) within 45 days of start; PPD not accepted
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination as per facility policy
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccine series completed within 2 years of start
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination or history of disease
  • Drug testing: Negative 10-panel with chain of custody within 30 days of start
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start

Facility & Work Environment

• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital, Level III Trauma Center
• Unit Description:

  • Busy Level III trauma center
  • Performs all CT exams except select ones (Cardiac CT coming soon)
  • X-ray includes diagnostic, fluoroscopy, and surgery cases
  • High volume in OR with ortho and pain management cases
  • Breast radiologist available Mondays and Tuesdays
  • Interventional radiologist available Thursdays and Fridays
• Charting System: Meditech
• Scrub Color: Any color allowed
• Parking: Free with pass from HR

• Must present Return to Office (RTO) restrictions upfront for approval
• Open to accommodating block schedules
