Description
Level I Trauma facility seeking experienced ICU RNs for a high-acuity CTICU/CVICU unit (24 beds). This is a fast-paced environment with advanced cardiac cases including CABG, ECMO, IABP, CRRT, TAVR, and transplant patients.
Key Requirements:
• MUST have Level I Trauma experience
• ICU experience required (CVICU strongly preferred)
• BLS & ACLS required (CCRN preferred)
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Strong IV skills required (no IV team)
• Experience with high-acuity cardiac patients (IABP, CABG, etc.)
Shift & Schedule:
• Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (3x12s)
• Every other weekend (3 weekend shifts per 4 weeks)
• Holiday rotation required
Unit Details:
• Ratios 1:1–2 (frequent 1:1s)
• EMR: Cerner
• Intensivist coverage (in-house days, on-call nights)
• Floating required to other ICUs & Tele (4:1 ratio on Tele)
• Travelers float first
• May float to Westgate campus
Important Notes:
• 50-mile radius rule applies (use DL as source of truth)
• Must have own transportation
• Professional appearance required (natural hair color, no facial piercings, clean shave for fit testing)
• SIMs Lab on Day 1 (pass/fail): Foley cath & central line dressing changes (strict sterile technique required – term risk if failed)
Process:
• Medical Solutions prescreen → clinical review → manager approval (no 2nd interview)
