Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Utica, NY 13502

Duration: 13-week contract

Shift:

Evening/Night shift
2:30 PM – 3:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

Provide emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
Assess, triage, monitor, and manage high-acuity emergency patients
Deliver care for common ED diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
Operate and manage specialty emergency equipment such as rapid infusors and temperature management systems
Float within scope of practice to meet departmental needs
Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical record system

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
Pediatric emergency experience required
Active New York State RN license
Ability to work evening/night shifts
Experience with EPIC EMR

Current Certifications:

BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
PALS (AHA)
NIHSS
TNCC

Preferred Qualifications:

Charge nurse experience or charge capability
Prior travel nursing experience
Experience caring for high-acuity, high-volume emergency departments

Distance Requirement:

Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius (local rate applies)
