Description
Title: Electrophysiology Technician (EP Tech)
Location: Stuart, FL
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
Job Responsibilities and Required/Preferred Skills & Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Work in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab and Cardiac Cath Lab
- Assist with electrophysiology studies and cardiac procedures
- Perform cardiac ablations, mapping, cardioversion, and tilt table studies
- Assist with pacemaker insertion and AICD insertion/programming
- Interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
- Act as room circulator and scrub while maintaining sterile field
- Follow isolation precautions and PPE requirements
- Provide age-specific care for middle adult and older adult patients
- Float within scope to multiple hospitals as needed
- Participate in on-call coverage
- Complete required pre-start and annual modules
- Pass required EKG and pharmacology testing during orientation (2 attempts max)
Required Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years EP lab experience (2 years preferred)
- Experience in EP lab required; Cath Lab and IR experience strongly preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Ability to float within scope to nearby facilities (within ~20 miles)
Certifications (Required/Preferred):
- BLS (AHA or Red Cross) – Required
- ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) – Required
- ARRT (R) – Accepted
- CCI RCES – Accepted
- CCI RCIS – Preferred
- RCVT – Preferred
- No certifications pending accepted
