Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) – Contract
Location: Columbia, MO (Boone County)
Agency: Connected Healthcare
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Schedule: Rotating 36–48 hours/week
Shifts: 12-hour Day Shifts

Position Overview:
Connected Healthcare is seeking an experienced Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) for an 8-week contract assignment at a correctional facility in Boone County, Missouri. This role is ideal for nurses who are adaptable, confident in independent clinical decision-making, and interested in providing care within a structured correctional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to an incarcerated population
  • Perform health assessments, medication administration, and chronic disease management
  • Respond to medical emergencies and triage acute conditions
  • Collaborate with medical providers and correctional staff to ensure safe, effective care
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Adhere to all security protocols and safety procedures

Schedule Details:

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • Rotating weekly hours between 36 and 48 hours
  • Potential for overtime depending on facility needs

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license (Missouri or compact license preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (corrections, ER, med-surg, or acute care preferred)
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong assessment skills and ability to work independently
  • Comfort working in a correctional or secure environment
