Description

Title: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer – Adult & Pediatric

Location: Lubbock, TX

Duration: 8 weeks

Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 – 17:00)
Night and weekend 

Call rotation required (no scheduled weekend shifts, call only)

 

Job Responsibilities and Required & Preferred Skills and Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Perform adult and pediatric echocardiography studies in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Conduct portable echo exams and studies in ICU and Emergency Department settings
  • Perform 2D and 3D echocardiography, Doppler studies, bubble studies, and contrast imaging
  • Acquire high-quality diagnostic images using Philips equipment
  • Complete accurate documentation and charting in EPIC
  • Follow isolation precautions and PPE requirements
  • Participate in night and weekend on-call rotation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of echocardiography experience
  • Prior pediatric echocardiography experience required
  • Trauma Level II experience required
  • Travel experience not required (prior pediatric echo experience accepted)
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I experience preferred

Certifications (Required/Preferred):

  • BLS – Required
  • ARDMS RDCS AE (Adult Echo) – Required
  • ARDMS RDCS PE (Pediatric Echo) – Preferred
  • RDCS / RVT (Vascular) – Preferred
