Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED)

Location: Utica, NY 13502

Duration: Travel Contract

Shift: Nights | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for patients across the lifespan, including newborns, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Manage high-acuity cases such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Perform rapid assessments, initiate emergency interventions, and administer medications per protocol
• Utilize specialized emergency equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient care
• Float to other units as required within scope of practice
• Demonstrate charge nurse capability when needed

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with current New York licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Pediatric emergency care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Ability to work nights and float as needed

Current Certifications:

• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – must be in hand at submission

Preferred Qualifications:

• Charge nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting
• Experience working in high-volume, high-acuity emergency departments

Distance Requirement:

• Local candidates accepted if residing less than 75 miles from the facility
