- MedSurg: 1:5
Floating: As needed, within RN scope

Charting / Systems

Electronic Health Record: EPIC

Certifications Required

BLS

Experience Requirements

Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year required for charge nurse
Oncology Experience: Not required
First-time Travelers: Acceptable

Skills / Responsibilities

Charge Nurse Experience: Minimum 1 year required
Respiratory Equipment: Standard MedSurg equipment (e.g., nasal cannula)

Orientation / Onboarding

RN Exam: Pass/Fail, open book, must score 90% to pass; failure = contract termination

Contract / Travel Requirements

Radius Rule: Must live within 50 miles AND cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit facility (CHI/Dignity)
Driver’s License: Required at submission; used to verify 50-mile radius
Fingernail Policy: No artificial nails; refusal to comply = termination

Additional Notes

Float assignments within scope are expected
Positive, team-oriented attitude desired
