Shift Options

Travel Pay Package
- Hourly (W2): $35/hr
- Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,220
- Total Weekly Gross Pay: $2,900/week (48 hours)

Job Summary
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals presenting with a wide range of emergent and non-emergent conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, trauma experience, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced Level I Trauma environment while ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Triage, assess, monitor, and treat patients based on acuity and clinical presentation
- Care for trauma, stroke (CVA center), orthopedic, neurological, and medical emergency patients
- Perform rapid assessments, initiate emergency interventions, and administer medications
- Manage ventilated patients in the ER until admission
- Utilize cardiac monitoring and respond appropriately to rhythm changes
- Perform laboratory draws and initiate IV access independently
- Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, RT, pharmacy, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech 6.15
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards
Requirements & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience, preferably in a large Level I Trauma Center
- At least 2 years of recent acute care experience
- No first-time travelers
- Must have prior Meditech 6.15 experience
- 75-mile radius rule applies
- Current driver’s license must be included with submittal
Licensure & Certifications
- Active RN License – Required
- BLS – Required
- ACLS – Required
- PALS – Required
- ASLS or NIHSS – Required
- TNCC – Required (must be current)
Additional Unit Notes
- COVID vaccination not required; non-vaccinated travelers must agree to weekly testing
- ER RNs must pass:
- Online Cardiac Rhythms Test (minimum 80% passing score)
- Client Triage Exam during orientation (remediation provided if needed)
- Dedicated triage nurse on unit
