RN Operating Room  – Travel Contract

Position Details

• Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR RN)
• Department: SAM – Operating Room
• Schedule Type: Deferred Schedule
• Shift: 8-hour Days
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: March 2, 2026 (HARD START)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
• Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
• Alternate Schedule: Manager open to 4x10s
• On-Call:Required (30-minute response time)
• Weekends/Holidays:Required
• OT:
  • Daily OT after 24 hours
  • Weekly OT after 48 hours

Local / Radius Rule (HARD STOP)

• 100-mile radius rule enforced
• Local candidates within 100 miles will not be accepted

Licensure & Education (HARD STOPS)

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active NYS RN license or license eligible
• Successful completion of OR RN final exam required (condition of employment)

Certifications

Required:

• BLS

Preferred:

• ACLS

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year Medical/Surgical experience – preferred
• OR experience strongly preferred
• Preceptorship, charge, or leadership experience preferred
• May be required to function as Charge RN
