Description

Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Inpatient

Location: Burlington, VT

Duration: 16 weeks

Shift: Night shift | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekends as needed | No call
Schedule flexibility required | No block scheduling

Job Responsibilities

Provide inpatient respiratory care to adult ICU and general pediatric patients
Manage and follow RT-driven protocols across multiple inpatient units
Deliver advanced respiratory therapies and support ventilated patients as required
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital environment
Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
Float within scope to meet unit and patient care needs
Comply with infection control, safety standards, and hospital policies

Required Skills, Certifications & Experience

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required (CRT will NOT be accepted)
Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
Adult ICU experience required
General pediatric experience required
- No NICU or PICU experience required
Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years – nonnegotiable
Teaching hospital experience required
Travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
AHA Certifications required at time of submission:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
All prior work history must be fully documented, including:
- Facility type
- Bed count
- EMR used
- Unit/specialty worked
All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

Preferred Qualifications

Prior travel experience
Strong adaptability to schedule changes and unit needs
