Registered Nurse – Utilization Review (REMOTE | CA) 🌟
💼 Contract Length: 8 Weeks
🖥 100% Remote – Must Work PST Hours

We are seeking a skilled Utilization Review RN with strong acute care Case Management/UM experience to join the Providence centralized UM team. This is a completely remote position supporting multiple facilities, with excellent schedule consistency and a collaborative environment.
📌 Job Highlights
✔ Remote UR role – must work Pacific Standard Time
✔ Day Shift | 5x8s (08:00–16:30)
✔ Every 3rd weekend rotation
✔ Epic experience required (within last 6–12 months)
✔ InterQual proficiency REQUIRED (hard stop)
✔ Supports 3 facilities; flexibility needed
✔ Patient ratio: 1:40
✔ Work with diverse diagnoses (adult & pediatric)
📌 Required Experience
➡️ Minimum 3 years acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review
➡️ Experience with:
• Concurrent & Continued Stay Reviews
• Pre-cert, Prior Auth, Retrospective Review
• Admission Criteria & Medical Necessity
• InterQual Criteria
• CMS, Medicare regulations (CC44s, ABNs, HINNs, MCSNs)
• CPT coding & DRG familiarity
➡️ Epic required
➡️ HMO/IPA experience preferred
➡️ Pediatric and Med-Surg/ICU background is a plus

Aaky J was very responsive, respectful and considerate, he responds quickly and he returns texts asap, I’ve even gotten random texts just asking how I was doing. I’ve never worked with Lancesoft before but Aaky has made it comfortable.
Cons
Maybe the only thing which truly isn’t a problem is the dialect, but we got through that as well.
