Operating Room Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment

Fort Myers, FL 33908   Night Shift | 12‑Hour Shifts (Fri–Sun) | 13 Weeks

Position Overview

A skilled OR RN is needed for a 13‑week night‑shift assignment covering adult and pediatric surgical services. This is a high‑acuity, fast‑paced OR with a wide variety of specialties. Pediatric OR experience is required, and prior travel experience is strongly preferred. Call participation is required and will be discussed during the interview.

Schedule & Shift Requirements

• Start Date: March 9, 2026
• Shift: 12‑hour nights, Friday–Sunday
• Call: Required
  • Average: ~4 call shifts/month
  • Call types include:
    • EOS: 7p–11p
    • Overnight: 7p–7a
    • Backup Call (BUC): 3p–7a
• Weekends: Friday–Sunday schedule
• Floating: Required; travelers float first and may float to sister campuses
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• RTO: Must be included at submission; no changes after
• Radius Rule: No locals within 50 miles
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Documentation Deadline: All compliance documents due by the Monday before start; no exceptions

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years recent OR RN experience
• Pediatric OR experience required
• Strong circulating skills across multiple specialties
• Must be comfortable with high‑acuity surgical cases
• Prior travel experience highly preferred
• Must be able to float within scope

Required Certifications & Education

• BLS (AHA)
• CNOR preferred
• Degree must be from an accredited program
  • OR must have 5+ years of RN experience
• Active RN license (state‑appropriate)
