This is a 13-week crisis contract opportunity for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist supporting a dedicated IR platform within a hospital-based procedural environment. The role focuses on a mix of invasive and non-invasive IR procedures with a consistent weekday schedule and weekend-only call.

• Dates: February 23, 2026 – May 23, 2026
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (07:30–16:30)

Unit Overview

• Interventional Radiology department with 4 procedure rooms
• Dedicated pre- and post-procedure recovery area
• Structured, procedure-focused workflow
• Supportive IR platform with established processes

Patient Population & Procedures

• Adult patient population
• Mix of invasive and non-invasive IR procedures including:
  • Biopsies
  • Peripheral vascular interventions (highly preferred experience)

Responsibilities

• Scrub and record for interventional radiology procedures
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cases
• Ensure proper equipment setup, imaging support, and sterile technique
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with nursing, providers, and procedural staff to ensure safe patient care

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Strong procedural knowledge within an IR environment
• Peripheral intervention experience strongly preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS
• ARRT
• IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency)

Required Skills

• Ability to scrub and record
• Strong understanding of IR procedures and workflows
• Comfort assisting with peripheral vascular interventions

Scheduling & Call Requirements

• Day shift: 07:30–16:30
• On-call required for weekends and holidays only
• Rotating weekend call schedule
• No floating

• Imaging/Charting System: MERGE
