Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - Operating Room (OR) (Days)

Job Description

• Work in a Level 1 trauma center with 16 operating rooms, routinely running 12-14 rooms daily.
• Patient types include Cardiac/PV, Neuro, Orthopedics (primarily trauma), Robotics, Gynecology, Urology, General Surgery, Pediatrics, and Transplants. Small volume of ENT and Plastic procedures.
• Average caseload: 35-50 cases per day with turnover expectation under 20 minutes.
• Special equipment includes 3 Da Vinci robots, Stealth technology for Neuro navigation, and Synthes or Stryker systems for ortho trauma.
• Preferred to scrub or circulate; flexibility to float across multiple campuses.
• Weekend on-call coverage from end of shift Friday until 6:30 AM Monday.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months (2 years) of Operating Room experience in a hospital/medical center setting.
• Strong experience in General Surgery, Robotics, Pediatrics (including ENT), Orthopedics, Laparoscopic, and Urology procedures.
• Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Current NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Current AHA or ARC American Red Cross BLS certification.
• Skills checklist specific to Surgical Tech / Operating Room discipline.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.

• Orientation dates are firm; candidate must be available to start on specified dates.
• Scrubs are provided.
• Call back and on-call pay multipliers apply for overtime and holiday hours.
• Must be able to float across multiple campuses within the healthcare system.
