CT Technologist – Contract Assignment

UNC Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment at UNC Medical Center (HBOH campus) in Hillsborough, North Carolina. This role is ideal for an experienced CT Tech who is confident working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment using Siemens CT equipment.

• Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 3x12s
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Hours: 36 hours/week

• Equipment: Siemens (required)

Job Responsibilities

The CT Technologist will perform diagnostic CT procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Verifying patient identification, history, and pregnancy status per protocol
• Educating patients and ensuring comfort and safety throughout procedures
• Performing CT scans according to established protocols
• Manipulating images, including multi-planar and 3D reconstructions
• Selecting appropriate algorithms, windowing, and leveling
• Administering oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients
• Establishing IV access and verifying lab values prior to contrast administration
• Transferring, verifying, and segmenting images in PACS and Epic EMR
• Ensuring accurate charge capture and documentation
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
• Assisting with workflow coordination and quality improvement efforts
• Precepting new staff and students as needed

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT registration (or registry eligible with diploma provided)
• Advanced CT certification required
• Current BLS (HCP) certification
• Siemens CT experience required
• Ability to maintain registry and continuing education requirements
