Position: Registered Nurse -- Telemetry

Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3/12 hour shift-Days 6:45 am to 7:15 pm

Weekend requirement: As per needed

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry delivers high-quality, patient-centered nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. The RN works collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure safe, effective care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. All duties are performed in accordance with hospital policies, professional nursing standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients on the telemetry unit
• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry rhythms, reporting changes promptly
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care based on patient and family needs
• Perform appropriate nursing interventions in response to patient condition and telemetry findings
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, including IV therapy
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy as required
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiology teams, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes

Requirement

• Active license in the state of PA/Compact
• 1+ Year of Tele Experience - [REQUIRED]
• Basic Arrhythmia certification required
• IV insertion and phlebotomy experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS
