Job Overview

Seeking an experienced MS/Telemetry RN to care for telemetry patients boarding in the Emergency Department while awaiting inpatient placement. This role requires strong cardiac telemetry skills and independent rhythm interpretation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 years recent Telemetry RN experience (within last 6 months)
• Strong cardiac telemetry background
• Ability to read & interpret tele strips independently
• Experience titrating cardiac drips

Drips (Required)

• Cardizem
• Heparin
• Amiodarone

Certifications

• BLS – Required
• ACLS – Required

Testing Requirements

• RELIAS Dysrhythmia Exam (pass within 48 hrs of offer, max 2 attempts)
• Day-1 SIM Lab (Pass/Fail)

Patient Population

• ED hold patients awaiting inpatient beds
• Primarily MS/Telemetry cardiac patients
• Will assist ED staff with vitals, IVs, and medications
• Will not be primary RN for ED trauma patients

Scheduling

• 12-hour shifts (7a–7p or 7p–7a)
• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• No call

Floating

• Required to float to Med/Surg, Tele, Overflow units and affiliated EDs as needed

Scrubs

• Navy Blue
