Location: Vero Beach, FL

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 – 17:00)

Job Responsibilities and Required/Preferred Skills & Requirements

Role Overview:
Cath Lab Tech responsible for assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in a hospital-based cardiac cath lab. The role includes scrub, circulator, and equipment setup duties while maintaining sterile technique and patient safety.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Scrub and circulate during procedures while maintaining sterile field
• Set up and operate cath lab equipment
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
• Interpret cardiac dysrhythmias
• Maintain infection control standards, including PPE and isolation precautions
• Provide age-specific care for middle adult and older adult patients
• Float within scope to meet facility needs
• Participate in on-call coverage during evenings and weekends

Procedures & Skills:

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
• Left and right heart catheterizations
• Diagnostic catheterizations (adult)
• Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
• Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
• Cardiac stent placement
• Rotablator atherectomy
• IABP placement and removal
• Cardiac implant closure device procedures
• Scrub procedures and room circulation

Work Settings:

• Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab
• Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab

Certifications (Required & Preferred):

• Required:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
• Preferred:
  • ARRT (R)
  • CCI RCIS
  • Registered or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT)

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 18 months Cath Lab Tech experience required
• 2 years preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Travel experience not required
• Pending license accepted
