Position Details:
No locals
Dysrhythmia exam not required - At least 2 years of interpreting rhythms and ACLS cert required
Minimum years of experience required: 2 years of PACU or critical care experience
Travel Experience required: at least 2 years of travel
Certs/Licenses: RN, ACLS, BLS, PALS (highly preferred)
BSN preferred but not required
Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Days: Variable schedule to cover staffing gaps
Weekday call: 3 weekday call shifts per 6-week period, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Weekend call: 1 full weekend per 10-week period (48 hours), Saturday 7:00 AM - Sunday 7:00 AM
Unit Specific Details:
Bed amount -2:1 ratio in PACU, 15 PACU bays (12 PACU that we use), 350 bed facility, 3 Endo Rooms
Drips - IVF, IVPB, A-lines, Heparin (seldom), Blood (seldom), CC drips
Lines/Drains/ Specific devices used - IV, Bulb Sx, F/C, Post-Op
Machines - Monitors, SX, Bipap/Cpap, Vents (seldom), PCA for pain
Oxygen -- Yes (NC, Simple, NRM, T-Piece, ETCO2-seldom)
Patient population -Varies, generally adults, may have a few older minor children high school age adult size. The hospital serves the local community on Cincinnati's west side, offering a range of services from emergency care to specialized treatments
Support staff (if applicable) - Manager, Clinical Coordinator, Educator, Co-workers, Patient Care Techs, Transportation
Unit recovers surgical and endoscopy patients MAC/TIVA/Spinals/General Anesthesia
Recovery: orthopedics, urology, ENT, vascular, endo/branch, gyn, gen surgery, spine-seldom)
