Title: Inpatient Pharmacist
Location: Woodward, OK
Duration: 12 weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 – 15:30)
Alternate shifts: 07:00–15:30 and 09:00–17:30 (rotating)

Job Responsibilities and Required & Preferred Skills and Requirements

Role Overview:
Inpatient Pharmacist responsible for providing pharmaceutical care in an acute-care hospital setting, including inpatient services and preparation of outpatient infusions and chemotherapy. Works closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective medication management across all age groups.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Perform inpatient pharmacist duties in an acute care hospital
• Prepare and dispense outpatient infusions and chemotherapy
• Compound sterile IV medications using aseptic technique
• Prepare IV push medications, IV piggybacks, antibiotics, and antineoplastic agents
• Perform clinical dosing and monitoring, including:
  • Anticoagulation and warfarin dosing
  • Renal dosing
  • Pediatric dosing
  • Pharmacokinetic dosing
  • Therapeutic drug monitoring
  • High-alert medication management
• Support chemotherapy and hazardous drug handling
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory, radiology, rapid response, and pharmacy staff
• Float within scope to meet facility needs

Patient Population:

• Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient pharmacist experience required
• Experience preparing outpatient infusions and chemotherapy required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Travel experience not required

Licensure & Certifications (Required):

• PharmD or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
• RPh
• Active Oklahoma Pharmacy License
• BLS

Preferred Certifications:

• Chemotherapy / Hazardous Drug Certification
• IV Certification

Work Settings & Skills:

• Inpatient / acute care pharmacy
• Compounding pharmacy
• Ambulatory care / outpatient clinic experience (preferred)
• Strong sterile compounding and IV preparation skills

Scheduling & Coverage:

• Call required (approximately 3 nights per week)
• Weekend coverage: Every third weekend
