Title: Histology Technologist (Histology Tech)

Location: Berlin, VT

Duration: 16 Weeks (assignment may extend up to 32 weeks)

Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 hours
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Closed on weekends

Job Responsibilities and Required/Preferred Skills & Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform histology laboratory procedures for patient specimens
• Prepare, process, embed, cut, stain, and mount tissue samples
• Ensure accuracy and quality control in histologic preparation
• Support diagnostic services for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric
• Maintain compliance with laboratory safety standards and protocols
• Document work accurately using the facility’s EMR system
• Collaborate with laboratory and clinical teams as needed

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• ASCP (HT) or ASCP (HTL) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Histology experience
• Recent EPIC experience (within the past 2 years) – non-negotiable
• Prior travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Ability to work full-time weekday schedule
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must have reliable transportation; public transportation is not accessible
• Vehicles must be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November–April

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience across all age groups (newborn to geriatric)
• Complete and well-documented work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type
