Description

The MRI Technologist performs high‑quality MRI exams, ensures patient safety and comfort, and contributes to imaging workflow, documentation, and clinical education.

Requirements:

Cardiac MRI experience
Taxable home address >50 miles from facility
Experience with GE & Siemens 1.5T/3T scanners
ARRT (MR) required (ARMRIT not accepted)
Current BLS through AHA
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
No Massachusetts radiation license needed for MRI
Flu vaccine required by start date (medical exemptions only)

Shift:

Days
36–40 hours/week
8-, 10-, or 12‑hour shifts accepted

Responsibilities:

Prepare and position patients; set up coils and equipment
Screen all patients/staff for ferrous implants or objects
Select, record, and adjust pulse sequences
Review image quality; troubleshoot scan issues
Send images to PACS; verify and complete exams
Maintain accurate documentation and required MRI statistics
Explain procedures, answer questions, and monitor patient condition
Start IV lines for contrast; monitor for reactions
Assist with training students and MRI Tech I staff
Participate in ongoing education activities
