·         Scrub Color(s): Navy blue or white

·         Number of Beds : 9

·         Patient Ratios : PICU 1Rn to 1-2 pts Stepdown: 1RN to 2-3 pts.

·         Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : HUC works 9-9. Tech is shared with PICU.

·         Type of equipment : Alaris pumps

·         Documentation system: Cerner

·         Scheduling requirements: In a 6 week schedule must work 3 weekends

·         Floating policy: Will float to Peds and NICU

·         Patient Experience requirements: 1 year PICU experience

Procedures performed on unit:  IV starts, Caths, holding for LP’s, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding and placement, ICP monitoring, ventilator management.

 

Certifications Required: PALs

·          All Navy, All white, or Navy pants and white tops.
