Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years clinical acute care experience required.
• Travel experience preferred.
• Qualifications: A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy - required
• Certs REQ: BLS, ACLS, PALS a must, and NRP would be ideal, but not required.
• License REQ: An active NYS license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist  - required

Description:

• Shift: Nights 36 (3-12-hour shifts) 7p - 7a
• Candidates outside 100 miles only, and pediatric experience.
• Therapists should have strong critical care and critical thinking skills, be familiar with protocols, and be proficient with high flow, mechanical ventilation, arterial puncture, and Non-invasive ventilation.
• Duties: Will administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy to patients; institute and monitor oxygen therapy on patients; assist physicians in instituting and maintaining continuous ventilation; administer cardiopulmonary\n\nresuscitation; perform pulmonary function tests; perform radial arterial punctures. Able to perform the majority of patient care functions needed in the acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision
