Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Manchester, NH

Location: Manchester, NH Start Date: 03/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 3×12 (19:00–07:30) Specialty: ER / Emergency Department

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience
• Must be comfortable in a fast‑paced ER with strong pediatric presence
• Pediatric experience highly preferred
• First‑time travelers NOT accepted
• Epic experience required

Certifications Required

• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• CPI

Local Candidate Policy

• Locals accepted with a $15/hr rate reduction for those living within 50 miles

Core Skills Required

• Adult & Pediatric Emergency Care
• Triage
• Interpretation & management of dysrhythmias
• General ED procedures across all acuity levels

Preferred Skills

• Strong pediatric emergency experience

Unit & Patient Details

• Average Daily Census: 70
• Visits per Day: ~160
• Rooms: 36
• Beds: 50

• Minor injuries
• Fractures
• Abdominal pain
• Chest pain
• Respiratory distress
• Neurological emergencies
• Trauma
• Psychiatric emergencies
• Substance use disorders
• Sepsis
• GI/GU/OB complaints
• Oncologic emergencies
• Abuse/assault/neglect evaluations

Special Procedures

• Conscious sedation
• Trauma alerts
• Stroke alerts
• Cath lab activations
• SANE consultations

Equipment Used

• Point‑of‑care ultrasound / US‑guided IV
• EPOC
• Belmont
• Ranger
• Teleneurology

Floating Requirements

Floating is required under a Helping Hands / Team Nursing model:

• May float to ICU or ED for support
• May perform patient sitting
• Will NOT take patients outside clinical competency

Schedule Requirements

• 3×12 Nights, 19:00–07:30
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
