Description
Registered Nurse – Case Manager (Acute Care)
Facility: Providence Alaska Medical Center
Location: Anchorage
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP (03/16/2026)
Schedule: 5x8 Days (0700–1700 range)
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Call: None
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN License (in hand for Auto Offer)
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience (behavioral health only not accepted)
- Epic experience required
- BLS certification
- Willingness to work every other weekend
- Must live 50+ miles from facility (no locals)
Preferred
- ACM (Accredited Case Manager) Certification
- Experience with Milliman guidelines
- Microsoft Office / Teams proficiency
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and develop discharge plans
- Coordinate care with physicians, nursing, therapy, and social services
- Arrange DME, home health, SNF, or rehab placements
- Utilize Milliman guidelines for medical necessity review
- Perform utilization review and ensure regulatory compliance (CMS/HIPAA)
- Document in Epic EMR (Hardstop requirement)
- Float within case management services as needed
