Description
Responsibilities
• Operate CT scanners to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Verify patient identity and review physician orders
• Obtain and review patient history, medications, allergies, and questionnaires
• Explain procedures and ensure patient understanding
• Position patients and perform scans per established protocol
• Administer contrast media using proper venipuncture techniques
• Prepare, administer, and document medications as required
• Reconcile medications to prevent contrast interactions
• Assist physicians with invasive procedures when applicable
• Start IVs and assist in other modalities as needed
• Monitor patients and respond appropriately to concerns
• Utilize radiation safety and dose-reduction techniques
• Maintain dosimeter compliance
• Complete documentation accurately and timely
• Adhere to hospital and imaging center policies
Requirements
Experience Requirements
• CT Registered (Required)
• Minimum 2+ years of CT experience (Required)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and sterile techniques
• Experience with patient positioning and CT equipment operation
• Experience with OP, IP, and ER exams
• Experience with Cardiac, TAVR, CTA, Code Stroke, HD, CAP, and Spine studies
Preferred Experience:
• Phillips CT
• Bracco injector
• EPIC
• PACS – McKesson
Licenses & Certifications
• ARRT (Required)
• Ohio License as Radiographer (Required)
• BLS – American Heart Association (Required)
• ARRT (CT) – Preferred
Education Requirements
• Graduate of ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
Assignment Details
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM
• Weekend rotation required (candidate responsible for switching)
• 3rd shift coverage required if necessary
