Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN with strong Adult and Pediatric ER experience to join a fast-paced Emergency Department with a high daily census. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a wide range of emergency cases across the lifespan and thrive in a high-acuity, team-based environment.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent triage skills, and the ability to respond quickly to critical and complex patient conditions.

Unit Overview

• Average Daily Census: 70
• Visits per Day: 160
• Total Beds: 50
• Total Rooms: 36
• Charting System: Epic
• Medication System: Omnicell

Patient Population & Diagnoses

The ER treats patients across all acuity levels including but not limited to:

• Minor injuries and fractures
• Abdominal pain and chest pain
• Respiratory distress and shortness of breath
• Trauma and neurological emergencies
• Psychiatric and behavioral health emergencies
• Oncology emergencies
• GI/GU/OB conditions
• Sepsis and substance use disorders
• Abuse/assault/neglect evaluations

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage and patient assessments
• Manage adult and pediatric emergency cases
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Administer emergency medications and treatments
• Participate in trauma, stroke, and cath lab activations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary emergency teams
• Document patient care accurately in Epic

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of fast-paced ER experience
• Strong Pediatric ER experience highly preferred
• Epic experience required
• Experience with:
  • Emergency triage
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation & management
  • Adult & pediatric emergency care

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• CPI

Floating Expectations

• Helping Hands / Team Nursing model
• May float for:
  • ICU and ED assistance
  • Patient sitting
• You will not take patients outside your clinical scope
