Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for a 13-week travel assignment in Modesto, CA. This opportunity is within a Level II Trauma facility supporting a high-volume interventional radiology department.

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 5x8 Hour Day Shifts
Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Facility Type: 447-bed Level II Trauma hospital

This role requires strong procedural experience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced interventional setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field for interventional radiology procedures
• Set up and operate IR imaging equipment
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic IR procedures
• Monitor patient condition during procedures
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to safety standards
• Maintain equipment functionality and assist with troubleshooting as needed
• Collaborate closely with IR physicians, RNs, and anesthesia teams

Requirements

• BLS certification
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience preferred
• Experience in hospital-based IR department required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and procedural workflow
• Ability to work independently in a Level II Trauma setting

Additional Details

• 40 hours per week
• Sunday–Saturday work week
• Overtime applies per facility policy
• Non-billable orientation period required
