Description
Qualifications:
Education Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Preferred: Master of Science in Nursing.
Licenses/ certifications/ registrations
Required: Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon. BLS, ACLS, PALS, & TNCC. CNOR.
Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of operating room or ambulatory surgery center experience, Experience in the following specialties: robotics, ortho, urology, general surgery, GYN, neuro, ERCP and vascular.
Preferred: Previous Manager experience. ION robot experience.
Definition of Position:
The OR Nurse Manager works with the Surgical Services leadership team and hospital nursing supervisor to coordinate departmental activities over a 24-hour period and reports to the Director of Surgical Services. They are responsible and accountable for coordinating and supervising the intraoperative nursing care provided to patients having operative or other invasive procedures. The role requires a working knowledge of the medical/legal and accreditation aspects of nursing and includes direct supervision of RNs, LPN, Scrub Technologists, Perioperative Aides, CNAs, and unit clerks.
