Description
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Danville, PA. This position supports both Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT services in a high-volume, Level I Trauma academic medical center.
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 4x10 Hour Day Shifts
Shift Time: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (rotating day off)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient Nuclear Medicine / PET-CT
This role includes diagnostic imaging, molecular imaging, and radionuclide therapy administration across a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications
- Assist with radiotheranostics and radionuclide therapies under authorized supervision
- Acquire and analyze imaging data for physician interpretation
- Operate SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT equipment
- Maintain radiation safety standards and ALARA practices
- Provide care to patients of all ages in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Document procedures and maintain accurate imaging records
Equipment Includes:
- 3 SPECT Cameras
- 1 SPECT/CT Camera
- 2 PET/CT Cameras
Requirements
- CNMT (NMTCB) or ARRT (N) certification required
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine program
- Minimum 1 year of related Nuclear Medicine experience preferred
- Ability to administer radionuclide therapies under supervision
- Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Additional Details
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- Possible call requirement on weekends and holidays
- 550-bed Level I Trauma academic medical center
- Inpatient and outpatient patient population
- Orientation: 16 hours (unpaid per facility policy)
