Job Overview
Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 9-week night shift contract in an LDRP unit. This role requires strong cesarean section experience, independent practice capability, and comfort with titratable drips and OB emergencies.
Auto-offer available based on strong prescreen submission.
Schedule
- 3x12 Night Shifts
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
- 9-week contract
- Every other weekend (or 1 weekend based on seniority)
- 2 call shifts (12-hour) every 4 weeks
Unit Details
- 9 L&D beds
- 4 Postpartum beds
- 2 Triage beds
- 1 OR suite
- Approximately 850–900 births annually
- AWHONN ratios followed
- Charting system: MEDITECH
- EFM: GE Centricity
- Scrubs provided (Purple)
- Closed unit (minimal floating unless emergency measures in place)
Patient Population Includes:
- LDRP patients
- Obstetrical emergencies
- Hypertension
- Postpartum hemorrhage
Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope Labor & Delivery care
- Circulate and/or scrub for cesarean sections
- Manage titratable drips (Pitocin, Labetalol, Fentanyl, LR)
- Monitor fetal heart tracings and read strips
- Respond to obstetrical emergencies
- Provide postpartum recovery care
- Collaborate with OB providers and interdisciplinary team
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oregon license not required at submission; 90-day emergency license available upon offer)
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NRP
- STABLE preferred
- Experience circulating and/or scrubbing C-sections required
- Must be comfortable titrating drips
- Minimum recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility
Additional Details
- 36 hours guaranteed weekly
- 2–12 hour call shifts every 4 weeks
- Hospital may cancel up to 3 shifts for this 9-week assignment
- Travelers must have permanent residence 50+ miles from facility
Strong C-section circulating experience required.
Comfort with titrating Pitocin and managing OB emergencies required.
