Job Title: Registered Nurse

Unit: Pediatric
Location: Bronx, NY, 10461
Shift: 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
Shift Length: 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric with a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of medical conditions while ensuring a safe, family-centered care environment.The nurse must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively in fast-paced clinical situations while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in an acute care setting.
Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes in clinical condition.
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders and pediatric protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate and support patients’ families, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure a safe, child-friendly care environment.

Skills:

Strong pediatric assessment and clinical care skills across various age groups.
Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations specific to pediatric patients.
Excellent communication and family-centered care approach.
Ability to recognize and respond quickly to changes in pediatric patient conditions.
Effective team collaboration, critical thinking, and time management in a fast-paced environment.

Documents Required:

Valid NY State RN license
PALS Certified through AHA
ACLS Certified through AHA
BLS Certified through AHA
