Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Chicago, IL 60637
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10 hours (07:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room.
Scrub and assist in neurosurgical procedures including stereotactic neurosurgery, neuro spine, and craniotomy cases.
Maintain sterile technique and ensure adherence to infection control standards.
Participate in call rotation (one 8-hour on-call shift per week as required).
Rotate to weekend shifts as needed to support departmental coverage.
Complete required orientation, competencies, and annual training modules.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Neurosurgery and Operating Room scrub experience required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.
Current Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support).
